Today we bring you a simple but spectacular recipe: baked pears with blue cheese, walnuts and honey. A mouthful full of contrasts that stands out for its flavour, texture and presentation. Ideal as a starter or to surprise at a special dinner.
And the best thing is where we cook it: in one of our showroom kitchens, on worktops made of large-format sintered stone, in the Etna Black (on the work surface) and Labradorite Royalblue (in the dining area) models. These surfaces not only add character and sophistication, but are also perfect for cooking due to their resistance to heat, cuts and stains.
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe pears (halved and cored)
- ½ cup blue cheese
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- Sprigs of fresh thyme
- Toast for garnish
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Place the pears face up in a baking dish.
- Fill the centre of each with blue cheese and sprinkle with walnuts.
- Add honey, balsamic vinegar and a dash of black pepper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until tender and caramelised.
- Garnish with fresh thyme and serve with toast.
