Located in Sadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi, this kitchen designed by Häcker Kitchens Dubai and created by Linda Daoud represents a contemporary interpretation of luxury, where the purity of lines and the warmth of materials coexist in perfect balance.
The space is structured around a large central island that acts as both a functional and visual focal point, naturally connecting the kitchen with the dining area and the outdoors. The colour palette, based on neutral tones and soft sandy nuances, enhances brightness and creates a sense of refined calm.
In this context, Macchia Vecchia becomes the standout element. Its expressive veining, where golden and grey tones intertwine over a white background, brings depth and dynamism to the surface. Applied to the countertop, island and vertical cladding, the material creates a continuous, enveloping effect that elevates the overall design and reinforces the identity of the space.
The integration of indirect lighting beneath the island and in the cooking area enhances the material’s veining, emphasising its sculptural character while adding a warm and inviting atmosphere. Every detail has been carefully considered to create an environment where functionality and aesthetics exist in harmony.
The photography by Alex Jeffries precisely captures the essence of the project, highlighting the interplay between light, material and architecture in a serene and contemporary setting.
